Sea Glass Waterfront Grill - Sidney

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The main courses were excellent but we were disappointed by the desserts. I had the special of the evening, halibut and my husband had cioppino. We shared a bottle of wine. The place was very busy and seemed a bit under-staffed. A guitarist was playing and the music was very good.

My wife and I had dinner here and had a great time. We had the stuffed portobello mushroom for an appetizer and the cioppino and beef tenderloin for our mains. All of the food was amazing! The view of the marina and the atmosphere of the restaurant were very nice as well.

Difficult to get a table on a Saturday night and had to opt for the Sunday. We were given a delightful table next to the marina. The food was first class and the service excellent. I would thoroughly recommend the halibut which was cooked to perfection. The ribs for starters had a little too much breadcrumbs but were still very good. Overall this is a little gem which is a must to visit, the atmosphere and the friendly service together with well laid out table make this one of the best restaurants in the area.

A lovely spot in the Van Isle Marina. It doesn't get dark until 9:30 p.m and if you enjoy a later dinner you will be enchanted with the play of light and shadows on the waterfront. The grill is amidst such a serene scene. But serene itself it is not. One time we decided to forgo lunch; it was a bit too noisy for the pleasure of it. We returned for dinner around 7 and things were a bit more mellow. If you order nothing else, you must order the Halibut. Western Canada is known for its halibut, and Sea Glass does it proud! It was artfully presented and impeccably cooked atop the most delicious mashed potatoes. The beef tenderloin was perfect as well.Beautiful sights inside and out.

Terrific breakfast at the Sea Glass, first time we'd ever visited; were vacationing in Victoria, then Nanaimo, but for the Victoria portion, were staying in Sidney. Friendly staff, terrific location right at the marina, and the food was outstanding! My wife had the Hash of the Moment with pulled pork, etc and I had the Standard (2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast). The potatoes are insane, apparently they are powdered in Asiago cheese, onions, butter, etc Just outstanding, a well-earned 5 stars. PS - reasonably priced too, a bonus
