Contribuiți la feedbackThe meal was a bit pricey for what we received. While the restaurant is located in Sidi Bou Said, the location alone does not justify the cost. We opted for a set dinner menu and were not offered tea at the end like other customers. The food was average and nothing particularly impressive.
The restaurant has a stunning view and serves delicious food, but the service is slow, like in most places in Tunis.
A tip: arrive one hour before sunset for the best experience. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance to secure a window seat. Another tip: for dessert, I suggest trying the chocolate fondue (picture attached). Why 4 stars and not 5? It can take a while for the dishes to arrive, but it's not a major issue if you're there for a romantic date night with a view.
My experience in this restaurant was beyond delightful. It was my mothers birthday and we arrived around a hour before opening time. Usually, if a place is closed they don't let you in until it opens but the staff of this restaurant were beyond kind and let us in. They served us small appetizers, drinks, and were exceptionally kind throughout our meal. The meal itself, is beyond delicious. As a beginning entrée, I ordered a brik which is a traditional Tunisian dish that consists of vegetables and tuna (and sometimes an egg folded into a triangle into thin pastry sheet that is then fried. We ordered fish (which is something you must try if you visit Tunisia! as the main dish after. The fish was cooked to its finest and served with a slice of lemon, some vegetables and cooked potatoes on the side. Once finished with the fish, we ordered a warm cup of green tea. I was beyond pleased with the staff of the restaurant and how kind and hardworking they were. They constantly wore a smile making the environment positive. If you're coming for the view, I would highly recommend going upstairs and snagging a table near the window which we were lucky enough to do! The view of the restaurant looks over the beautiful city of Sidi Bou Said and the ocean. The restaurant itself is designed in an old-fashioned Tunisian traditional style. When walking up the stairs you will find a wall of photos signed by famous people (of all nationalities that have visited this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant for anybody- couples, families, or even solo! It is definitely worth the money and it gives you a chance to tour the beautiful city of Sidi Bousaid!
The service was extremely slow, no one spoke English and the food was rather tasteless. The view was lovely but there are plenty of other places with a nice view. Too much hype!
