Pho's Spicier Thai Cuisine - side

Phos has been my go-to Pad Thai spot for years. The crab rangoon is good and comes as an extra treat. I usually get the Mild Plus spice level. When they say hot, they mean it!

The person at the counter was kinda rude. Asked us to stop near the door as soon as we entered. Made us place an order from right there. When we asked for thai tea without ice they said “that will be a dollar extra bcs now you take without water”. Off vibe.

This place is a gem that has the courage to add a normal spice level for those of us that are tired of the dumbed down Thai flavors in the city of Chicago.. big shout out to this place! What a cozy, sweet place! The prices are insanely low compared to the quality of food you get! Dang!! I’d pay twice the amount charged. It’s quite a small and narrow restaurant so don’t be surprised if you bump into seated customers on your way to order. But goodness is the atmosphere sweet and the employees make you feel so welcome!

Most uncomfortable dining experience of my life. Too bad because the location on Lincoln near Belmont is very warm and inviting. The lead server/order taker is obviously on high guard against COVID-19, though only with people who do not work at the restaurant (she was the only one wearing a mask). I understand precautions, but this is far beyond that.
