We ordered 3 matcha drinks and all we had was green colored oat milk. No matcha at all. In response to the owner's reply, we were three Matcha tea lovers visiting chicago. We have experienced many places that offers authentic Matcha tea experience with ceremonial grade matcha within USA and globally. We read about your place and decided to visit, however we were so disappointed.

Place was super cute! They say it opens at 7:30am, went at 8 and no one was in there. The woman at the counter for the other place said “it varies when they open”. Don’t suggest going in the morning unless you have a backup plan.

Matcha cita definitely caters to a certain audience that is not the majority of the population. this place is very aesthetically pleasing but gives up practicality as a result. there is very minimal seating with tables and pricing can be outlandish, even for chicago. personally, i wasn’t sure if my smoothie was worth $10+ but that’s just my opinion.
