Gold Star Chinese Restaurant - Sicamous

We love going to the Goldstar family restaurant when we are in town visiting our Family .Their food is very good and so is the service perhaps the service might get slow when they have a big busload of people come in ,we have been fortunate to miss that.I am glad that they have a selection of rice noodle dishes to choose from since I can't eat regular wheat chow mein.

Food is good. Large portions. Service not so great. Bill was given before we were done asked for more drinks.. Heaven for bid she had to stop reading her book for that. Restaurant is far from fancy so try to ignore the decor and service and it's not so bad.

This restaurant is your typical mom and pop Chinese food restaurant. Lots of sticky sweet sauces and salt. We had the dinner buffet and it was decent. The food tasted good but looked like it had been out for a while. For what we got the price was fair, it was a fairly cheap meal. The staff was all friendly. I would go back if I was in the area and needed and Chinese food fix.

Food is not that good. The service is poor. Expensive drinks. Buffet could use some help. Dessert was jello!

We were needing a lazy day so we ordered takeout. It did the trick for sure. My husband liked the salt & pepper squid, and the kids ate the chicken fried rice. It cured my hangover :) The language barrier was surmounted by speaking slowly, and the delivery person got lost trying to find our motel, but the food was good. Thanks!
