Thyme Shrewsbury Town Centre

A convenient hotel for both the station, town centre and exploring the area. The rooms are as you'd expect for a Premier Inn, plenty of space reasonably basic but comfortable and clean. Staffing the restaurant and on the service desk are both friendly and helpful.

Decor a little tired especially the bathroom. Few staff but doing their best, service however consequently slow. Bar had NO straight gin, only flavoured . Second night no gin again and they ran out of the beer my husband wanted. Also told no cocktails as they didn't have the ingredients to make them!

Stayed last night for a day, one of the premium hotels in Shrewsbury. Easy access was there at the hotel. Just 6min walk from the Shrewsbury railway station. You can find a river and park beside the hotel. Breakfasts are available with combo offers Good service 5/5 Facilities 3/5( no bath tub) Coffee tea are available

Charged me twice. Room dusty and extremely hot. This was the worst stay we could possibly had. Just after check in I've noticed that they charged me twice for the room. Went down and been told that they can't do anything as a night shift and I must wait till morning. Fair enough. Went down following morning and explained situation to the morning team. Been told that I'm not right and I was charged only once. I showed the lady the invoice, clearly stating that I was charged twice. She still didn't believe me and was making some excuses that I'm not right. I almost had a panic attack because of her. Only I could think of is to show her my personal bank account statement, which I felt really uncomfortable with, but had no choice at this point. Only when she seen on my bank account that I was in fact charged twice, she then said she must speak to manager. She came back after a quite a while, and said that it was a global error and she will have to refound me. No apologies whatsoever! We decided on this hotel only because they had an air conditioning. What a suprise, the AC was broken, and after reading some other reviews, it's ongoing situation. They should stop advertising the AC on their web side as this is pure lie! The room was extremely hot and none of us could sleep that night. We planned to stay till noon, but checked out earlier because it was so hot, strange enough, it was nice and cool on the corridors. We are not coming back.

I stayed here whilst I was working and booked myself a premiere plus room and was blown away with how spacious the room was. The room was beautifully decorated and had added extras such as a mini fridge and a huge bed. The view from the window was incredible, you could even see the river Severn from laying in bed as it had a huge floor to ceiling window. I had lunch and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was perfectly cooked and super tasty. The staff were all very welcoming and very friendly. I had a fantastic stay... my only pick would be the parking,...it's super expensive at 15% of the cost of the room, which is crazy! But plenty of spaces, right by the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. Massive thanks to the staff.
