Par 440 Lounge - Short Hills

I’m not a fan of plastic cups for my drinks, but the server was accommodating and gave me a glass when I requested it.

The hostess was very accommodating and friendly, and the waiter was great. However, my experience with the rest of the staff was not good. It had been a long time since I visited due to COVID, and I had previously encountered some rude service. Despite this, I was looking forward to returning for dinner, and I ended up having a nice evening. I paid with a credit card and tipped the waiter in cash. However, when I checked my account later, I noticed two charges that I never authorized.

My partner and I had a wonderful evening at Par 440 yesterday! A friend recommended it to us, and we’re so glad she did! The service and food were both excellent. However, the music was a bit too loud; even during the breaks, the background music made it hard to have a conversation. The singer had a powerful voice, and the audience responded enthusiastically, dancing and singing along!

My second visit to your establishment and will come again. ERIC was absolutely amazing!! What a gift! He is the reason you received a reasonable rating. The food was fair. At my last visit, I enjoyed the food more, however.Two items of concern. When the gentleman from the adjacent table left, his plate remained on the table during our entire visit- we got there at around 8:30 and left at closing. My absolute biggest beef was being served in plastic cups!!! Is this your regular practice? I refused to order a cocktail. You pay an upscale price for plastic cups? Given the vibe of your establishment, I find it so hard to believe that plastic cups are what you regularly present to customers. What was that about? If I return, and ERIC is my draw, I hope you cease and desist from the cups. Your prices seem fair but the cups don't match up with a fifty dollar plus entree. The staff was adequate and busy. Perhaps you need additional staff to clean off tables.

While the food and service was great, the live band (singing was phenomenal) was a bit too loud. Couldn’t have a conversation at our dinner table. Left with a headache.
