Giacalone Pork Pasta Deli - Shirley

I ordered eight hero sandwiches from this restaurant for a company event I hosted over the weekend. I felt completely overcharged and, to make matters worse, they forgot one of my sandwiches. When I called to inform them about the missing item, they simply said that’s what was on the ticket, with no offer to make it right. The sandwiches we did receive were lacking in flavor and freshness, and honestly, they were not worth the $17 I paid for each one.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for breakfast for the first time, eager to give it a try. We ordered an egg sandwich and an egg platter, both of which were fresh and perfectly cooked. The woman at the counter was incredibly kind and generous, offering us a taste of their warm, fresh mozzarella, which was simply delightful! My boyfriend said it reminded him of home in Brooklyn. We’ve definitely found our new favorite spot and will be returning frequently!

This is a fantastic family-run restaurant. My sisters and I have been coming here for years, and we always enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, delightful conversations, and high-quality food. There's no better place in Shirley, and it's especially wonderful during the holiday season.

Feels like you are dropped in Little Italy when you enter. Then the homemade choices will blow you away. And you dream of the dish when you get home and are never disappointed. Always a cut above!
