Contribuiți la feedbackRight by the ferry terminal so the ideal place to wait for a crossing. This is popular with workmen and with families. They serve a wide range of food and drinks. From snacks to full meals. From breakfasts to afternoon teas. I enjoyed a coffee and a tray bake. Would have called in twice more during my visit to Yell but it was closed.
Formerly known as Geoffreys, this café is located at the ferry terminal for Unst, making it a convenient spot for those waiting to board a ferry. While the exterior may not be very appealing, the interior was warm and cozy. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed some tea and delicious cake that was served promptly. Although the lunch menu was intriguing, we were unable to stay as we had to continue on our journey.
We called in last week en route from Unst to Lerwick, really just for somewhere warm to wait. The surroundings were lovely, the cake was pretty good and the owner even offered to run us to Ulsta if our 'bus din 't turn up. So friendly.
I recently visited with a friend for a late breakfast at a cafe, now called Geoffreys of Shetland. You can find their opening times on their Facebook page under that name. Despite several other customers, we were promptly served one of the best tasting and most well-presented cooked breakfasts I've had in Shetland, all at a reasonable price. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I am happy to recommend this cafe to anyone. My other family members have also had positive experiences there. Make sure to check online for their current opening times, especially as we are entering the winter season.
The staff at this cafe is friendly, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. The food was mediocre and several items on the limited menu were not available. My hot chocolate was lukewarm at best. The prices were a bit high for the portion sizes and location, but not unusually so. I would return only if there were no other options nearby.
