The best summer meatball sandwich in New York State.

We were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time, despite open tables being available, which turned out to be a sign of the night to come. After being seated, it took another 10 minutes just to get water, even though there were plenty of servers. The menu was typical for this type of restaurant, offering chicken, pasta, prime rib, etc., with salads served with entrees. Our party of 7 ordered a wedge salad, wings, quesadillas, and calamari as appetizers, along with our main dishes. The salads took a while to come out, but we didn't think much of it at first. The appetizers were ok, but then we waited for our entrees. And waited. And waited. After 2 hours of waiting and almost 2.5 hours past our reservation time, we asked our server when our meals would be ready. She apologized and explained that there was only 1 cook in the kitchen. We decided to cancel our order and asked for the bill. We suggested they should consider comping some of the appetizers for the poor service and the fact that we would be leaving without eating dinner. They could only comp 3 sodas. We were disappointed with the way the situation was managed and will not be returning. The restaurant should have informed us of the staffing issue and the kitchen delay upon our arrival. They should have stopped taking to-go orders and offered something to acknowledge the unacceptable wait time. Unfortunately, we received none of that.

I recently ordered four stuffed shell dinners from Lewis' restaurant for my family, and they were the best stuffed shells I've had in years. The portions of salad, bread, and shells were generous, and the pricing was unbeatable. I will definitely be returning! The meal was excellent and filling – I couldn't believe there were leftovers. I did not receive my meal at this restaurant, even though my girlfriend did and was served her side salad and chicken tenders. I felt completely ignored by the staff, and the customer service was terrible. The atmosphere was not friendly at all. I am from Syracuse, NY, and I will never return to this place despite deciding to give it a try. Overall rating: Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1. Service was for dine-in lunch, and the price per person was $30-50.

This local restaurant is fantastic, with excellent service. I always make sure to visit whenever I'm in upstate NY.
