Sherbrooke Village Inn

The motel was clean and comfortable. While the decor was nothing fancy, my bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean with fantastic water pressure. The room also had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. We had dinner at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this motel!

We had a home-cooked meal at this restaurant for lunch, enjoying fish and chips and a village burger with chips. The service was friendly and the place was very clean. We were able to eat and leave within about 30 minutes, which was perfect for us while traveling. The restaurant may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, but it is clean, cozy, and definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

After Cape Breton, we returned to Halifax and decided to take Highway 7, the scenic coastal route. We were thrilled to stumble upon this charming country house along the way. It happened to be Thanksgiving, and we were hoping for a traditional meal, and boy did they deliver! A young server whipped up a delicious homemade meal for us, with everything made from scratch, even the fresh carrots and beets (not frozen). The potatoes were hand-peeled, boiled, and massaged (yes, you read that right). The turkey was generous, accompanied by cranberry sauce, rutabaga turnip, and coleslaw. Yum! And to top it off, a spicy pumpkin cake made with love. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy ambiance of the place with a fireplace made it the perfect setting for a Thanksgiving dinner away from home. A truly delightful experience for us.

The cake, the corn-chowder, the coffee, the cake, it was all average. beautiful people but and a good experience in sherbrooke.

This was the only place we found open and knew nothing about it when we arrived. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, but the food and service were very good. My husband said his scallops were the best he'd had in Nova Scotia. I...had mussels and seafood chowder and they were both very good also. The service was fast and cheerful. I'd definitely eat here again.
