The Bay Cafe - Shepway

We visited the Bay Cafe on a nice sunny day towards the end of August. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. The place lives up to its good name in cleanliness, everything looked spotless. I ordered one of their all day breakfasts and I was impressed. The food was delicious, I could tell it had been made with love and care. The eggs were cooked to perfection in fact, I have never seen an egg cooked so well and cleanly in my entire life, the sausages succulent and full of flavour, the beans just right (not too mushy and not too undercooked) and the toast was spot on. All followed up with a nice coffee at the end. There is parking outside, and from what I could tell it's not too far from the beach. So if you are looking for a quaint, family run and family friendly cafe in the area, I would highly recommend the Bay Cafe, certainly one of the best cafes I have ever visited in the UK.

Had seen The BayCafe when passing from the Campsite to Hythe etc, read reviews and thought we’d give it a try. Great little cafe, great breakfast set the family up for the day

Excellent family run cafe that accepts cash!!! They do accept card too though. Very clean, friendly, 5 star hygiene rating and food absolutely delicious! Lots on menu to choose from and extremely good value! Visited this place everyday during our weeks stay and it can sometimes get quite busy...definitely worth waiting for a table though. Thanks for looking after us and we will miss you! Until next year...

I wanted to order the full monty breakfast for £8.95, but I don't like eggs. I politely asked if I could swap the eggs for a hash brown, but the server refused, saying I would have to pay extra for any substitutions. I ended up creating my own breakfast for £5, losing out on £4 because of the server's unwillingness to accommodate a simple request. My partner also decided on a smaller breakfast option, costing less than a fiver. Overall, the rude and unwelcoming service cost the Bay Cafe more than £8, and we will not be returning for a second visit. It seems they do not value their customers or care about repeat business. Avoid this place at all costs. It's a shame to see such a lack of customer service in the midst of a cost of living crisis.

We had breakfast at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was cooked fresh, so it may take a few extra minutes, but it's definitely worth it. The restaurant is open all year round.
