Chaperral Cafe - Shelbyville

The restaurant has a cozy, homey vibe and serves an outstanding breakfast. Donna was incredibly kind and made our experience even better. The food was fantastic—I wish I could rate it a perfect 10 out of 10!

There's a sign on the outskirts of town that suggests you should turn around and come back. We took the advice and did just that. It’s a locally owned establishment.

This place is fantastic! The food is incredibly authentic, just like Grandma used to make. Their biscuits and gravy are exceptional. The staff is very friendly—Dona took care of me, and she was wonderful! I loved how welcoming everyone was. I will definitely be back!

Real down home cooking. Food was delicious. Atmosphere and people were awesome.

Tenderloin could have been about twice as thick would have been way better
