Casa Mexicana - Shelbyville

Camerones Costa Azul is one of our top favorites. The food here is amazing, and we've been coming back since they first opened.

We took our kids with us, making our party of six, and we were informed that a tip was included in the total and could not be removed. Unfortunately, our waitress barely checked on us; she just took our order and delivered our drinks and food. My son had to ask for to-go boxes, and even after that, the waitress never returned to see if we needed drink refills or anything else. I will not dine in at this restaurant again, especially after being charged a $14.26 tip for such poor service. We spent over $118, including the tip, and I don’t think anyone should be charged a tip for subpar service. This was our first time dining in as a family; we usually do takeout, and if we ever return to this restaurant, it will be for takeout again. The food was good, but the service was disappointing.

I always have a great meal and drinks here. I highly recommend it!

Well sadly, they have gone down hill since 2022! The food is bland, soggy nachos, mediocre salsa, and always slow service. 2022 review: Never disappoints, great service delicious authentic tex mex.
