Yamato Express - Shelby

Will not be back. The last two time I have ordered there the food had no teriyaki seasoning the second time it had no hibachi season. Paid over $35 both times and the food was plain as plain can be. Ess portians of steak and shrimp then it use to be. And completely tasteless with no seasoning. I'm will not be back paying that much for no taste food. It use to be good. Don't know what happened with it.Service 1 star because what kind of service is there when you can't dine in, food handed to you thru a window and you pay thru a window.Atmosphere the same no atmosphere when it is drive thru only.

The food here is always good and you get a good portion on your plate. Service is always great. Usually get exactly what you order.Food: 4/5

I'm really frustrated with this situation! They barely put any teriyaki sauce on the chicken, and when I request extra, they rarely accommodate me. Plus, they don't seem willing to resolve the issue! This will be the last time I visit this restaurant. It's too expensive for me to consistently not receive the extra sauce I ask for. Food rating: 1/5.

I ordered $63 worth of food for dinner, which included two teriyaki shrimp and broccoli plates, two sides of teriyaki shrimp, hibachi chicken with an extra side of hibachi chicken, and two sweet teas (one without ice). After arriving, we waited for what felt like 30 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, we only received one tea. The server mentioned that we were only being charged for one tea and did not offer to get us the other one. I would have gladly paid for it if I had known we weren’t being charged for both, but the credit card receipt only showed the total amount paid, without detailing the individual items. While I understand they were busy, we were disappointed not to be informed that we could pay for an extra drink if we wanted it. Perhaps they should consider having an additional staff member to handle orders. Overall, I was not pleased and don’t think I’ll return.

I used to love this Yamato's, but their prices have increased significantly, and the new owners have been quite rude at the drive-thru, even rolling their eyes when handing back change. It's definitely not a place I want to frequent anymore. However, the woman who handed us our food after we ordered was very kind.
