Umi Sushi - Shelby

The food is pretty good and the service has always been good, too. The only things I wish are better are the green tea (it was pretty diluted) and the absence of a salad that used to be served before. Parking: It is a crowded parking lot, and traffic can get a bit crazy especially with Starbucks next door. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Has this peculiarity changed in the last months? the last time we went to December, everything was great. a visit last night and everything was gone and nobody we knew was working. we've been there for 10 years, so we know that the normal big food we'd have got isn't the same now. simple example was that they still had the skin on the gurke for our sushi rolls, that has never happened.

The best sushi. I live an hour and a half of decent sushi away, and I had to splash and order 6 rolls. never fails. always amazing.

Fresh, big pieces of Sushi. Easy to bite into 3 pieces, that is one way I know the Sushi is fresh. This is my new place.

The food here was fantastic. Service was great, there was only one waitress running the entire restaurant and she was hustling it. The cucumber salad was definitely my favorite part, so sweet and tangy and fresh! The only downside was my husband didn't stir the bimbimbop quickly enough and his rice kinda burned on the bottle of the bowl (but that's not on the restaurant).The restaurant was well maintained, restrooms were well taken care of and the food prep/sushi area was clean.I also liked the shades they have between the tables, it really helped give a sense of privacy in such a small place.
