I dined at this restaurant a few years back, and the experience was so unpleasant that it still makes me cringe whenever I pass by. I ordered the Rojo burrito, but it was overwhelmingly salty—I couldn’t even finish a quarter of it and ended up just eating the refried beans on the side. The service left much to be desired as well. I had to ask for silverware since none were provided at my table, and no one came by to refill my water or check on my meal. In the end, I had to get up to seek assistance from the staff. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is its atmosphere and scenery.

We couldn't even finish the chips and tea. The chips were stale, and the tea had a soapy taste! They offer a salsa bar, but it's difficult to know how long the food has been there. It was very unappetizing. Overall food rating: 1/5.

Before I get started, I want to emphasize that the food was amazing right up until the end—I'll explain that later. They have a salsa bar with some interesting flavors, although I wasn't particularly fond of it. Moreover, the staff didn't seem very attentive to our needs. After we were seated, they mostly hung out in their corner, eating pizza and looking at their phones. The dishes we ordered were genuinely delicious, but unfortunately, we found a deep-fried roach in our last basket of chips. While we did receive a complimentary meal as compensation, I won’t be coming back because if there’s one cockroach, there are probably more lurking around.

Came in on a Monday evening passing through Shelby. Looking for something to eat, I saw Papas and Beer. We love this chain of Mexican California style food and have eaten there many times in other places. The food was off, including their salsa. There was no table side guacamole because the avocados were hard, bummer!!! Food did not sit well. The meat was not fresh. ACP with enchilada sauce. Do not recommend it. Friendly service gives this location 2 stars.

Excellent food and delicious margarita! The tableside gauc was different from what we are used to, but it was tasty! (It was like a salsa-gauc. I had the spicy cream chicken and it was fantastic. Our waitress was great as well. We will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
