Contribuiți la feedbackLunch on recommendation of a friend Ordnete the fish n chips that turned out to be the best such meal I had in a long time will definitely apply again
Hubby and I spent 3 nights camping in the trailer park. We were completely satisfied with our website (on the water) and the ease with the owners and employees. All were friendly and caring. It was such a warm family atmosphere. We had dinner at the restaurant. We had fish and chips we shared, and a Caesar salad. It was delicious and served on time. They do not serve alcohol and a beautiful local beer would have been a good addition to the meal, but we had water and survived. Great place, great staff and very friendly guests. Come back.
The owner of this restaurant is absolutely crazy. She refused to accommodate our allergies, even though she initially said she would as long as there was no cross-contamination. Even after we explained that one of us had celiac disease, she still wouldn't serve a cashew-free pogo. She insisted on making a plain hot dog instead. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to leave. The situation escalated when the owner argued with her staff and told us not to tip our waitress. A child even came out to check on the staff. It was a strange and unpleasant experience overall, and we were eventually asked to leave. We recommend finding another restaurant, even if you're hungry or camping nearby. It's worth it to drive a little further to Green Acres for a better dining experience.
I have to say, this was the best summer my family has ever had. Our first season at Green Acres was truly wonderful! The beach was beautiful, the other campers were welcoming, and the new owners made us feel right at home. We enjoyed peaceful nights around the campfire, movie nights organized by the owners, delicious meals at the restaurant, and fresh, tasty fish from the water. It's truly a hidden gem. We can't wait to come back and create more memories. Change is a good thing, and the rules are well-enforced at this well-managed resort.
This was by far our worst seasonal camping EVER! If you are looking for a nice, relaxing space where you can sit back with friends, have a drink, let the kids swim or play, and enjoy some peace and quiet- this is NOT the place....Just read the reviews about the new ownership through- they say it all. Manitoulin has many beautiful campgrounds that will appreciate your business and treat you respectfully- green acres is definitely not that.
