Contribuiți la feedbackFantastic friendly and clean pub, good quality eating and great portion size, very friendly and attentive staff. fantastic atmosphere. we have booked a table for my sonny birthday with the family, it was easy and easy to book a table, we sat immediately, served quickly on the bar and got to eat really fast on the table (to say that they were just a cook on today.) the waitress/owners sam was very attentive, checked us how our meals were and was very friendly. large selection of food, drinks and desserts on the menu.
I and my wife have been coming here for years to dinner, and we are aware of the parking lot and how they can register as a customer of the pub in their car. today we received a fine from november of euro car parks ltd. So we called her and explained we go there as we do to eat dinner and always our car rain. there was reply that they did it wrong so that they have to pay £155.00 as they sent us letter before, but they went to the wrong address so that they got this and changed address and today we got the beautiful letter. as a regular guest, we will unfortunately not come back here again, as this does not feel right. if the pub will use this service, they need to take care of customers there.
We went as a group of friends on Oct 28th, a Saturday night so busy, to meet friends on a birthday occasion. We would have liked to have stayed but we had to leave after just a couple of drinks due to the ear splitting volume of the speakers relaying the boxing match on TV.. just as we tried to get used to the high volume, the volume went up ANOTHER ramp and we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone converse or hear each other shout not speak! and I got quite worried about permanent damage to my hearing so we had to leave. I don't know whether this was an autonomous decision by the local bar staff to turn up the volume on the occasion of rhe boxing match which not all customers were watching or if its a general policy of all Sizzler like other pubs to ramp up the volume on evenings and nights so customers can't talk or hear and will instead think sod it I'll buy more beer but it doesn't work. Beer is expensive enough nowadays so to nit be able to enjoy it with comfort ambient background noise level is unforgivable. Well it did achieve the desired result of customers stopping talking , but not buying more drink, just leaving ! It's a shame really as I've heard that the food is good but it wouldn't encourage me to go back there to try it if I thought I was going to be sat at a rock concert/loud sporting occasion again :
On her return from visiting my Mother who was in hospital at the time, my wife stopped for 40 minutes for a meal. Imagine our shock 10 days later when she received a fine from EuroParks (The Park's contractor) for £85. She did not notice any signage in the car park, nor was their any obvious signage in the pub, nor did staff prompt her about paying for the car park and/or redeeming her car park charge against the cost of her meal a golden fish and chips. I notice that there are a number of similar compalints on Trip Advisor from disappointed customers and it is frankly outrageous that The Park has not addressed this issue.
Great service, great food and fantastic value. Thanks : We keep coming and the team just can't do enough.
