The New Inn - Sheffield

We went to the Water Tower for Sunday lunch last Sunday and were pleased to see that the restaurant was busy. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, we were well taken care of. The service was fast and the generous portions of food were delicious. It's definitely worth a visit!

We have been regular patrons of this establishment for many years and have experienced some disappointing meals and poor management in the past. However, our recent visit was a pleasant surprise that we look forward to repeating. It is evident that the pub is now under new management, as there are new staff, a new menu, and a beautifully decorated and cozy atmosphere. The food we ordered, which consisted of a variety of adult meals, a kids meal, and side dishes, was the best we have ever had at this establishment. The food was served promptly, delicious, and offered great value for money. The pub was clean and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very polite. We highly recommend this pub to anyone seeking a fantastic meal at a reasonable price in a welcoming and family-friendly environment.

I am disappointed that this pub reopened with a special offer, but the management did not properly staff it. The service was poor and the kitchens closed early because they ran out of ingredients. This shows a lack of good planning by the management. I am relieved that they are not in charge of my business. I tried to make a reservation before arriving, but no one answered the phone. I then emailed the pub and did not receive a reply to confirm my booking. This is very bad management. On a positive note, the food we had was delicious.

This was probably the fourth Sunday dinner we have had at the Water Tower and by far the best. Every bit of the lean meat, tasty Yorkshire pud and plentiful veg was lovely. The pub was very busy with an birthday party but we...were advised that there would be a wait for food of minutes which we didn't mind. The live singer came on at and was themed for the Rememberance Day which the birthday party loved! he then went more modern with and and it was a very enjoyable evening. Full credit to the landlord and staff for improving on what they started.

First time in this pub and what a difference a renovation has made! Very good layout. Food looked good though didn’t have any this time! Might go back and try the good!
