The Barrel Inn - Sheffield

This hidden treasure never disappoints. Our lunch today, on January 6th, 2024, was absolutely fantastic. We received a warm welcome from the friendly staff, enjoyed the cozy winter fire, and were served promptly with delicious and well-presented food. My husband especially enjoyed the beer. Overall, excellent value for a wonderful dining experience.

I give The Barrel Inn a 10/10! We went back to The Barrel Inn on Wednesday, December 13th, this time to try out their Festive Menu. I had the most delicious Turkey lunch ever, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed his belly pork. For dessert, we indulged in Mrs Cone's Christmas pudding with rum sauce and rum 'n' raisin ice cream - it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and efficient as always. The views from The Barrel are stunning, making it my favorite pub. It's always worth the drive out of Sheffield.

My friends and I had lunch at this restaurant after a morning walk. We chose this place because we had a great experience on a previous visit. This time, we ordered from the Christmas menu and tried the Pork Belly and Turkey, both of which were delicious and well-presented. For dessert, we had Christmas Pudding, Apple Crumble, and Warm Brie with Walnut Cake, which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent.

Just back from a lovely weekend stay at the Barrel Inn. The Barrel Inn is a family run business and the hosts, Phil and Diane are warm and friendly with plenty of time to chat. The food is of a high standard with a varied menu. Try the plate of pig if you like pork belly. Breakfast, where do I start. Plenty of choice and the full english will set you up for the day. The Inn is kept very clean and the rooms are spotless. A special thanks to all the staff, particulately Allison and Boaz for looking after us during our stay. Plenty of parking with probably the best views in the UK. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Just had a lucky find, stayed 3 nights at this wonderful old inn. We couldn’t have been looked after any better. We had a really lovely room, should be 5 star not 3 star. Food was excellent, had 3 breakfasts and 3 evening meals. Food on every meal was excellent. Would definitely return and highly recommend it.
