Broadfield Ale House

Updated 02/08: Upped to a full 5 stars, went again, partner had lamb roast dinner, looked amazing. I saw others having a roast and the Yorkshire's looked huge, so I asked if I could get one on the side of my Steak, Potato, and Hendos pie. Great staff said of course, meal came with a great sized Yorkshire and the pie was filled. Very good, highly recommend. Steak and Hendos pie tasted amazing, one of the best pies I've had! Dessert was a little on the under-flavoured side (had banoffee cheesecake) but overall very good, will go back. Would give 4.5 if I could.

Really amazing, atmosphere was great, fish and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken burger was also incredible. The service was great and we had a really nice table. 10/10 our new local

Locally famous pub, who specialises in pies (with very chunky chips) and sausages. The pub itself was fine, with very attentive staff, and the pie that I had was very filling!

Amazing eating excellent customer service we visited last Sunday, 3 adult 2 children. we come a little late to discover that our table had actually been booked for 30 minutes later, the server apologised, we had a drink in the bar while looking for the menus when we were sitting, we were apologised to have taken our orders right away. 2 of us ordered the same, but when it arrived, we were told that we were advised that the server told us that our server was very new, 1 of us had the sausages that would be on the next menu, it was bark, beetroot, chocolate pistachio, joined by new chef dave. we both turned the nases up, but didn't want to wait for my friend to take the fall, we were advised that we don't have to pay for this. this strange concoction is something we would all reorder as it was stunning. all plates went back to the kitchen empty. during our meal we were also given a round beverage for all the inconvenience. the children, as always place for more we ordered children brownies, but when the bill came, we were for adult (as this is what was given to us) I informed the 'new girl' she sorted it. While some people think this was not a great experience, I can assure them that it had the best of us in a long time that reflected this in our larger than normal peak. I would recommend the broadfield as a place for great beer, gin, food customer experience. they must book at this time of the year.

Fantastic eating, service and atmosphere. simple sturdy foods that made quality to let that speak. stuffed baby squid was the best squid cook I've ever eaten in Britain. amazing worth!
