San Jose Mexican - Shallotte

First time ordering from this location. I ordered Texanas $16.99. I know inflation is bad right now but I got 95% peppers and onions and 5% meat. Had one piece of steak, 3 shrimp and some ?bits? of chicken. Also paid $4.99 for a cheese dip and the cup was less than half full. Then my salad was brown and disgusting. First and last time I waste my money here.

Have eaten at San Jose numerous times and enjoyed the food and service until today. My wife and I both had the shrimp tacos. She had them before and was one of her favorites. Instead of whole shrimp they were chopped, mixed with rice,I guess for filler, sauce and topped with shredded cheese. Very bland taste. Service was sub par. Server took our drink order, brought our drinks, few minutes later our food and never checked on us until they brought the check. The check: $2.00 over the menu price each, $2.75 each for a glass of weak iced tea. Needless to say we will be looking fir a new Mexican restaurant. Don't know if it's new owner, management or what but this restaurant is not the same it was just a couple months ago. That's a shame.

The food was incredible and the wait staff was kind. Very clean, great pricing.

The food is Amazing. I live in Myrtle Beach and have been searching for good Mexican food. The 45 min drive was definitely worth it!
