Kindred Spirit - Shaker Heights

We arrived at the restaurant to find it dark, doors locked with a sign in the window saying it was closed because of Covid. Totally fine to close, but it would have been nice to get a notification so we could have made other plans. I’ve been to this place in the past and enjoyed it,

No one told us the place was closed despite confirming my rsvp. We showed up to a closed place with our party. Horrible communication.

I had a reservation for 8 people, one of whom is 97 years old. It was a very cold night. We got to the restaurant, only to see a sign that read Closed 2 employees have Covid sorry . I understand that these things happen, and the restaurant had to be closed. It would have been nice to have been notified before we arrived at the restaurant. We had a very nice meal at Pearl 's Asian Kitchen.

I’m glad we finally tried Kindred Spirit. It was a cozy atmosphere with really great food. Our waiter recommended the short rib hummus, and we would have never tried it otherwise, and it was the best thing we had that night. It was very yummy, well-seasoned and we’ll definitely order it again. The burger was also excellent as well as the pear kale salad. We ordered the shrimp and didn’t like it- they were bland. But everything else was great, including our drinks. We will definitely be back.
