We had a wonderful nostalgic café experience. We ordered an omelette and French toast, and both were bursting with flavor—truly delicious home-cooked meals. Since we visited early on a Monday, it wasn't busy at all. The service was excellent and very attentive. This will definitely be a regular stop for us whenever we're in the area.

Throughout our meal, Laura's impolite behavior continued to overshadow the otherwise pleasant atmosphere of Shabbona Cafe. It’s disheartening when a waitress, who is supposed to enhance the dining experience, becomes the main source of dissatisfaction. It's crucial for any restaurant to prioritize customer service and foster a welcoming environment. Sadly, our encounter with Laura left a lasting negative impression, and it’s disappointing that her behavior overshadowed the potential for a positive experience at Shabbona Cafe. I hope the management takes action to address staff professionalism so that future customers can enjoy their meals without feeling disrespected.
