Seymour Emperor Restaurant

We had a decent meal here, had to wait a little too long however the food made up for the wait. Great for takeaway.

We dropped in here recently on our way north and decided to have some takeaway. We chose Curry Chicken and Mongolian Beef served with fried rice. We both agreed that the serves were a very good size but the flavour was nothing special. These meals were very reasonably priced at $9.50 each but they lacked quality in taste. In future we will probably visit the Seymour Club for a meal as overall this was ordinary Chinese food.

This Chinese restaurant has had its ups and downs. About a decade ago it was a ripper feed. Even then, though, the service has always been a bit hit and miss. Now days the food is also a bit hit and miss. I have had some really ordinary feeds, but at other times it's quite good. On this occasion we had a simple takeaway. Lemon Chicken, and a special fried rice. My wife had the spring rolls and satay chicken skewers. The food was quite good. It was warm enough (we went and picked it up), and it was quite tasty. I enjoyed it and we'll be back for take away in the future.

Had a catch up wit friends. Food, sevice and atmosphere was really nice.would recommend to any one driving through.

With a group of friends had dinner at the “Emperor” Chinese 9 in group, all meals arrived together by order and from the discussion around the table all were complimentary of meals. Service throughout the evening was quite good. Bill was spit by order and no issues with this at the end of the night as far as who ordered what etc, would recommend to anyone travelling through Seymour and no hesitation going back if in the town again
