Contribuiți la feedbackAmazing dining experience if you enjoy degustation they offer 2 different options one with 12 tapa and one with 15 I’m glad we went with 12 as we were very full afterwards.
Very good restaurant with very nice combinations of the ingredients. I didn’t put 5 star because I’m sommelier and for me is UNACCEPTABLE . On the wine list “there was “ 400 labels and the sommelier he didn’t have more than half of the list. Only to show the prestige of the restaurant but …. If you don’t have the wines? Where is the prestige? The service of the 2 ladies was very good and professional.
We planned a professionnal dinner for 30 people with Marta the Manager. We had a wonderfull time. We felt really good taken care of by the waters team and the food was absolutely surprising and delicious! It is original, different sometimes and all the time very tasty. Thank you for all ISPAL team!
I’d encourage anyone thinking of dining here to put aside their expectations of a Michelin star experience. To defend what may seem like harsh ratings for food, service, and atmosphere… Food like other reviewers here, a virtual complete miss on balance and pleasure. Certainly, there were some beautiful presentations but that was where the fun ended. All of the seafood dishes were compromised and left me wondering what food related illness awaited, in particular, the tuna loin. I could go on to discuss beyond the “snack on leaf” of the gastronomic equivalent of a ball of hand soap marries a frozen, salted lemon wedge but, as the group who endured this wasn’t amused, there’s little value in a review of the remaining menu items. Service we were only a group of two but shared our our experiences with another table as we were leaving. Collectively, we’re aligned on this entire review. We thought they were understaffed but other reviewers shared the experience we had. It often took three requests to get something met like additional water, ice, or a fresh napkin (after one of their dishes leaked all over my companion). The wine pairings were rarely presented in a timely manner to actually accompany the food. While kind in nature, the service was a complete miss. Atmosphere very nice room but the rating is impacted by the music that never disappeared into the background. Imagine covers of your favorite American pop songs performed by monks who have just been sentenced to purgatory. Overall, like other reviewers, we felt hostage and kept waiting for it to turn around. Sadly, it didn’t but the highlight was.:: we didn’t get sick.
Part of the reason I like to travel is to experience different cultures through their cuisine. I feel fortunate enough that I have had the chance to eat at multiple Michelin plate/star restaurants in Spain but unfortunately Ispal did not live up to the standard. First of all, we waited over 30 minutes until someone took our drink order. The staff of three was tending to 10 tables or 2 for the whole evening which seems like a disproportionate pairing. Secondly many of the dishes that contained fish were tough and overly chewy which is not what I would expect given the quality of the fish in the local area. Although the presentation of some of the dishes were beautiful, the textures they used to present the food in jellys and creams was unpalatable. I've never felt forced to stay and finish a meal but given that the only choice we had was the tasting menu, we couldnt just leave half way even though we had been very disappointed with the food. My partner and I honestly felt our meals at the local cerveceria were much better than at Ispal. The price of this tasting menu was also more that many other restaurants that we have been to that have had much better quality, presentation, and staff. Overall I would say that if you are looking for a high quality meal, this restaurant does not do Seville justice and would recommend booking elsewhere.
