Alfa 2 - Sesimbra

Everything I had in Alfa 2 was really good! If you're looking for a big portion and authentic Portuguese food with a low price, then this place is for you! I've been there lots of times and I always get so full and there's food left so I suggest to share a meal with somebody :

We enjoyed Monkfish for the first time and it tastes great. Served in cataplana, texture is lobster like. Good service and overall experience is to be repeated.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Initially things looked good, shown to table, provided with bread and drinks quickly. Then it started to go wrong. 40 minutes later we were still waiting to order, and an hour and a half after entering our food arrived. We were not alone everyone around us waited for an age also. Honestly the gestation period of the African elephant is shorter than the time it takes to get served here The portions, when they arrived, were huge and the food was reasonable, not great by any stretch of the imagination, but they certainly did not skimp on ingredient quantity. If the issue with waiting time could be resolved this place would be worth visiting as the prices are good, and the waiting staff pleasant despite being over worked, but you only live once and 90 minutes for your first course is simply too long. There are other restaurants, I am sure, that will serve you more quickly and provide the same food nearby.
