Great coffee and loads of choice of gelato. Sat outside enjoying the evening bustle. The only downside was the never ending europop! Not aclimatised to that yet!
My mum dad (in their 80s! would regularly pop down in the morning to have their cappuccino and pastry while the rest of us would still be in bed in our villa and they loved it. They sat outside in the sun in the beautiful town square watching the locals go about their business. We often bought their lovely ice cream to scoff later in the evening back at our villa.
Servigliano is a very small town, with it's cute little piazza in the centre, to one side next to the war memorial, is Mecozzi we popped in for a quick pit stop our first visit. An espresso and a single scoop of gelato were all we wanted. Deal done. The next time we stopped by was one evening. We ordered a couple of scoops of the delicious gelato each and sat outside and watched the world go by for a good while. The cafe is small inside, but with plenty of outside seating. It is a regular pit stop for locals, nipping in for a caffeine shot or stopping to linger for a little longer to read the paper. Well worth stopping off for an excellent coffee, or an even better gelato!
We kept arriving at the wrong time but finally were rewarded on a sunny morning and enjoyed good gelato and coffees under the shade outside
In one of the most charming towns in Le Marche, Mecozzi is at the center looking onto the piazza and the church. It's a lovely place for a cappuccino in the morning, a gelato in the afternoon, or an aperitivo in the evening, and it's always busy until late in the evening. Great service in a beautiful setting the ideal spot to enjoy small town Italy.
