Vinoteca Centro Storico

Where do we begin. Over the course of 8 or 9 days we dined here 3 times, once for dinner, and twice for lunch. We can't say enough positive things about the legendary Vinoteca Centro Storico. We first visited in September, and again during our trip back to Langhe earlier this month. Alessio and Stephy are 2 of our favorite people in Langhe. They're kind, genuine, and have a great sense of humor. The food is consistently incredible, and the wine list is extremely extensive, with a huge by the glass selection, this is a must-visit for any wine lover visiting the area. The hams are hand sliced by Alessio himself, and are the best we've encountered anywhere in the world. Be sure to try the new homemade gelato, it's delicious! Be sure to make a reservation, because seating fills up very quickly, even for lunch. We look forward to returning very soon. :

The boss is very unfriendly. The waitress though is kind : Unfortunately you re not welcome if you only want to have a glas of wine.

Locale caratteristico situato ai piedi del castello di Serralunga d'Alba. Molto accogliente, offre cibo di alta qualità e una cantina ben fornita.

We went here following a small mention in the FT weekend magazine. It is amazing. The food is excellent, the wine list is immense and the lovely lady who served us made us very welcome. If you want dinner you need to book. This place has a great reputation and people travel to eat here. Not the most comfortable chairs and tables. It is small. Worth the trip if you like a true Italian food and wine experience.

Pranzo di compleanno eccellente con un amico. I prezzi sono appropriati per il posto e per la qualità degli ingredienti. L'unica nota dolente è il carattere un po' burocratico e serio del proprietario. Un sorriso non costa nulla.
