I spent here in the januar a glorious hour on the lonely beach. I sat on the steps of caffe (in winter locked) and slashed my lunch package in isolation and heard the waves crash. it is fantastic landscape and a beautiful minute. they go away from the big labye on the road above.
We always visit restaurant prainha when we come to madeira. monica and manuel are so friendly. eating and drinking is mainly the fresh fish limits, otopus and other local caught fish. the beach is sandy, volcanic gray not yellow and the...sea swimming is safe. popular with local and tourist. try it for you!
This is a quiet sandy beach with a great fish restaurant. Manuel and Monica the owners treat everyone like friends. Popular with locals and often overlooked by tourists its a great place to swim, sunbathe and eat the fresh fish dishes that are on the menu. Good beer and reasonably priced wine. Perfect.
Worth taking the bus from Funchal to this lovely little bay with black volcanic sand beach. The restaurant is simple and the owners Manuel and Monica are friendly and helpful. The food is freshly cooked and well presented. On a sunny day this is a perfect place to enjoy life in Madeira
