Elsa and Scalk were gracious hosts. Run off their feet during the busy lunch hour. But if you happy to wait for the freshly prepared food you won’t be disappointed. Flavours to titillate and tease the taste buds. Sheer delight from the eyes to the lips for hungry tummies. Everyone in our party raved about this food.. Ploughmans platter to her flat bread fare. Elsa even went as far as allowing us to sample her delicious delights on the harvest table. Her Guinness stout beef pie far exceeds any eaten in the Irish bars across the seas. Dessert just melts in your mouth. Her lemon meringue pie a must try. Her passion for food is evident! Good food cannot be rushed. So chill and be prepared for the Wow factor. Accolades all round Elsa and Schalk.

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem of a cafe when we were looking for a place to have lunch on mother's day with our toddler. Elsa and her husband welcomed us with open arms, even though we arrived very late in the afternoon and the guests were starting to leave. We were treated to the most spectacular harvest table I have ever seen (and I have seen plenty of harvest tables because my husband is a restauranteur and we do catering for weddings). I was so delighted that I just had to talk to Elsa and my husband later nagged me to come and sit at the table. What a wonderful place and couple.
