So this is just for the two cups I had of that hot tea. <br/ <br/ Teh (tea tarik (pull tea is a kind of tea made by pulling it 7 times to create that on point froth and desired taste. To put it simply the mixture taste like a steeped dark tea with a condensed milk : it 's no wonder it 's a staple drink, I mean it 's good if you have dishes that are as strongly spiced as the food in Malaysia. It is the best drink to deflect those strong tastes : it 's a pity we didn 't try any of their dishes because we just had a meal from another resto : <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ I made up my mind to at least try the food here before I leave just to be fair. So I had chicken Rice Dish (I 'm not pretty sure what the name was and this Roti Canai, which has egg mixed into it. It came with 3 kinds of sauce that was very watery. I didn 't have the stomach to use it in my roti so I just ate the roti as it was. Maybe it was the wrong order, but it was nowhere near any of the good Malaysian dishes I 've eaten. I feel as if it was just the worst fast food I 've had. The drinks as well were too bland bordering to being just water with a hint of flavour. I know meals here are cheap but I think it 's not an excuse to serve poor food. I misunderstood my friend when she vouched for this place, she told me she was only vouching for the Tea Tarik coffee and nothing else LOL! For this visit its definitely 1.5 2, sorry.
Loved the menu. Very authentic malaysian-indian flavours. We stayed around putra mall and had dinner at teh tarik nearly every night even though there were many other choices in the mall. The roti tissue, roti milo, beehun goreng with chicken curry and kuay teow curry were really delicious. Also loved the variety of drinks available there. Staff were friendly and polite
Food at TTP can be defined as extremely expensive food in medium quantities available for those who really have not tasted Indian food from mainland India. Their Malaysian and Malaysian-Indian food are fabulous. Their signature is the jumbo TEH TARIK.
There is a little balcony area overlooking the PWTC, and it's pretty breezy and nice to sit in. However, people do smoke here so it may affect your appetite somewhat.<br/ <br/ I've only ordered the teh tarik so I can only comment on that- I ordered the big one, and I'd say the taste is a bit bland, so for that I gave a low rating. The price is RM4.25 inclusive of GST, which I guess is moderate in a mall like this.<br/ <br/ Overall an okay place.
