Good food and beers with a terrific location. Almost dockside on the lake. If weather is good the outdoor dining is awesome!

The restaurant has been under new management since 2015 with a new menu and staff. It is only open on weekends from May to September.

Yes the service was slow but what do you expect for a small seasonal restaurant, people on here bashing the service need to stick with fast food our chain restaurants. You simply cant expect to have it all in a boutique lakeside restaurant. If they maintained 20 staff they would be bankrupt, this is Ontario and dockside restaurants have a short season but pay rent for a year, you have to expect a different experience than a chain restaurant.With that said we came by accident because we didnt have enough time to travel further down the trent to Lakefield and I'm glad we did. They have the best fresh cut fries in Canada, the wings with the honeygarlic, caesar/parmesan were amazing, the souvlaki was great but the greek salad was perfect, even a simple ham a cheese sandwich had real think cut ham and great fresh cheese. Really first rate quality food

I cant say how disapointed we are with this place - it used to be a summer tradition to boat to youngs point for lunch and a beer - we loved it- it was expensive- and the kids menu had $10 chicken finger kids meal and it didnt include a drink - there was a long wait for food - kids were hungry after they ate - and we only got like 1/2 cup of fries- we were given unclean glasses - we really had an awful experience here - the family was still hungry when we left - no beer - its really really awful -

Since our last visit, the proprietorship has changed a couple times, and it appears to be in a steady and steep decline. We regret if anyone has been misinformed due to our previous review. Simply put the place has fallen into rack and ruin. The service is poor, the food quality questionable. It is indeed sad as the locale is quite lovely for boaters as well as people arriving by automobile. We genuinely hope the owners can get the place back up to better standards and services as it is a great spot to enjoy the waterfront.
