Service is impeccable and charming with lots of interesting information on the food. Not really suitable for younger children and parking is some 800m away. You will need to ask about the price (41 Euro) and be ready to pay cash. Pre and after dinner drinks are inclusive, but rather surprisingly nothing is offered for children or non drinkers. But overall very highly recommended,
This was one of a kind experience. Luckily, I was able to make a reservation for one of the few days we spent in Val Gardena this time. We were so excited. We took a taxi from Oritsei, no problem whatsoever. We came to this old, old farm (still a running farm 800 years old), with a renovated farmhouse made into a very unique restaurant. They serve a five course set menu with organic, homemade food. Fantastic flavors and very nice wines (also biodynamic) served to the food and quite reasonable priced. The atmosphere, the food, the location and the family were just amazing. Highly recommended if visiting Val Gardena. Mark that they do not take card!
What a spectacular place for dinner, I am so pleased we found this on trip advisor before we came. It is 800 years old and has been lovingly updated to take into account all the historic features. It's run by a lovely family who put so much effort into the food and presentation, it's a treat for all the senses and you're so well looked after. Aaron your English is fabulous, thank you for taking such good care of us when we were there. I didn't realise it was a set menu, of 6 courses, so be sure to come hungry. None of them are huge but just worth bearing in mind. We had suet, beautiful flower salads, prosecco sorbet to name just a few. A few tips: Definitely worth booking a table you don't want to make it here and then be disappointed If you're tall, remember to duck! If you're driving, do not listen to google maps, it's just past the Col Raiser cable car, through the tunnel and down a long steep drive. We were in a rental and slightly cautious but Aaron opened the garage so we could reverse safely in there they are so kind. They don't take card, this is really important. We managed to make our bill by just one euro, and there's no prices anywhere so the bill arriving was rather nerve wrecking.
