The Alley Sports Grill - Selmer

I forgot to post this last week, we have dinner in the alley last Saturday. it was all very good and much left for another meal. this was our first order and will definitely be back. they were very short, but they got everything in time.

Best thing about this place was leaving!!!! Bar tender/pro drinker the blonde was more worried about pouring herself a drink than waiting on customers. If your not a local your just another nobody to them. Food is frozen fried food. Fast food is better than this!!!! Won’t be back!!!!

The service. This is not for all the service there but it’s the typical norm. I shall not be returning. I have went multiple times thru out their time of opening until now. Service is poor, some of these young women are oblivious to customers and customer service. I have seen them sit and chat with their friends or customers who are drinking more and more for 10 or 15 minutes less. It’s strategic business on tipping, chat with those drinking and come off a little flirty so you can obtain a higher tip. Do not ignore other customers. My last and final experience. It was quite early, we received service quickly. But then around 15 people all together steadily made their way in. We had sit there patiently since customers were rolling in. 30 minutes had gone by with no check in for our table so I got up for a to go box. We then went to the pay counter and waited for another 10 minutes. This is not Texas Roadhouse. You do not have 80 tables to wait. Stop hiring young oblivious women who want to sit and chat for 15 minutes at a time with select customers. Hire someone full time to man the check out so we do not have to sit idly for 10 minutes. The best and only service I have had was from an older woman. I would rather have someone with great customer service and not the young women you pass as attractive. That doesn’t earn my tips or business. The owner will kind of just sit around on his phone while usually one girl is running around to keep up and the other is just kind of on out field picking flowers.

Everybody is short handed nowadays, but we were serviced by a waiter, who was hustling the chores needed done.Well worth the stop for a quick meal! Come on in and check out this unique sports bar, for good food, great service, and fair pricing.
