Denny's - Selma

We were taken to Denny's by the fire chief after being rescued from our motor home after an accident on hwy 99. T he owner and staff were most gracious and considerate of our plight. They allowed us to take up space for hours waiting for friends to drive down from Manteca to pick us up and even provided dinner. A real bright side to a tragedy. I arrived at the restaurant around 3:30pm and had the place to myself, so I was served quickly but felt a bit rushed. The food came out promptly, but appeared to be preheated. I ordered macaroni and cheese for my 3 year old son, but it looked like it had been poured from a mold and was dry and unappetizing. I ordered chicken tenders for myself, which were good and my son enjoyed them as well. I also asked for mashed potatoes, but they came with sausage gravy which I did not care for. Overall, it wasn't a perfect experience, but you can't win them all.
