Zum neuen Schwanen - Seligenstadt

I went to Seligenstadt on Saturday night and stayed with my accommodation on the Internet for breakfast. I already know two good locations and wanted to see something new this time. I was recommended to the New Swan. So I went there early on Saturday and got nice greetings. A buffet was offered for breakfast for 13 Euro incl. as much filter coffee as you need. I served myself at the buffet and approved 3 coffee. To the buffet it was plentiful, the coffee was strong and after the rolls and the appetizers I still had a cereal and a small dessert. The service was friendly but easy in hectic, as many guests were on the go. Basically, I was very satisfied. A good tip to go to breakfast there in the morning. I can't say what's going on in the noon or evening area.

25 minutes waiting, no one cares. Operation is the absolute catatrophic, it doesn't get in line. It was often bad, today it wasn't too bad, but the kitchen is good, bad. Never again.

Beautiful location in the heart of the romantic Seligenstadt. The orphanage is a 'must see'! Delicious food, good wine selection and all beers from Glaab am Hahn!

We have known the New Swan for several years and have been more or less satisfied to date. But... what happened to us a few days ago will not be repeated. After some waiting time we received our tomato soup and salad. We insult the inconvenience of asking for a new cutlery after these dishes have been consumed, as they did not change it automatically. So we have learned that this falls under the concept of evil, that one does not know, and that is not true with them (comic, earlier already). The service decorated with various Tatoos on the arm was not only cheeky, but also extremely rude. When we wanted to pay immediately after receiving our food, that worked at least, but the lady who served us was asked by the Tatoodame if she had also received tips. What's that lady dreaming about? With me a tip is the fee of performance unfortunately you can not make any deductions on the invoice and reduce the included fee for the service. But be it, the regularly serving lady Jenny made a nice and competent impression. But despite this, the New Swan also has the title of dying swan and we will no longer enter it again, should hunger be so great.

The cafe/restaurant/bar is a very attractive place in the city centre of Seligenstadt. Seligenstadt is anyway a very beautiful city and always worth a trip. I ordered a Chianti, from the extra wine table on the wall 5,80 €, my treasure a beer. The wine had probably been too warm for a few days and the good times behind it. I'll let the wine go back with my resting place specialist Jenny. It's not a problem if the wine is not good, I'll exchange it. But wine doesn't matter if it's a little open. she said and disappeared. I ordered a Chardonay from the fear of so much knowledge of wine. It's a wine I'll leave in such shops. But I thought, dear white and cheap, than continued red and bad! A tapatrist and various Chardonay later demanded the bill and how else should it be, the not drunken and charged red wine was on the bill. Mitlerweile changed the service at our table. We made it clear that we would like to drink a lot and a good drink... and not pay this wine because it was bad, was immediately charged and went back. The operation brought my colleague Jenny, who said... you wouldn't care whether we drink the wine or not, she puts it all in the cash register. I told the lady I won't pay the wine. There followed a telephone call with a sash: He would have tried my wine before and opened a new bottle to compare my complaint. The wine would be great. There was no answer to my question why I didn't get a glass from the new wine. From good wine, it seems that only the boss himself drinks. A boss or managing director was far from visible. I wanted to drink red wine. My wine tastes and drinks here the boss. Chef isn't there, both services overwhelmed, the bartender is coming. Barkeeper said he had to call the Polzei if we didn't pay the red wine. I told him that the lady with the Polish accent accepted the complaint and gave me another wine for it. Polin is an Albanian and has no idea. The chief is police. We pulled out our jackets again and said that there is no problem now, as we have a valid German passport and because of the red wine we would like to let the police come. Call the boss again. I don't know if in this case the Polzei should try the red wine. The boss dispenses with the red wine and the police by phone. We pay with tip 35, Euro and get house ban. The tapa maker is medium, bread costs extra, red wine is good luck and the Chardonay is a very cheap and simple product for 4.50 euros the glass. Then stop to the new swan. And there are plenty of alternatives with the main terrace, the old forging, the Il Castello and some more....
