Cafe Marktplatz - Seligenstadt

Walking in the streets of Seligenstadt, we went for an ice cream.And it was surprisingly tasty and quite cheap.I had Muskmelon (usually I don't like it, but this one was good), peach, lemon (better than most places) and the big suprise strawberry (The best I had in ages, very tasty)My parents had 4 balls and a banana split.The service was fast and nice.I recommend it.

In the centre of town situated in the famous market place it dominates the area with its large outdoor seating area. We both started with Carpaccio,I then had veal schnitzel with a mushroom sauce (not so good,glutenous and bland). No desserts. Wonderful bottle of Riesling. The menu is exhaustive and somewhat confusing as the restaurant is typically Germanic in style but with a strong over tone of Italian dishes !!? Anyway we enjoyed our meal,the service was outstanding,the waiter even went as far as to source a cigar for my son at another local restaurant !!? That is service beyond the call of duty..
