Seillans is a wonderful village and the Restaurant Deux Rocs, near the top, is simply fabulous just what you imagine a perfect French restaurant should be! Nothing could be faulted and the service was attentive and friendly. We shared an excellent Foie gras entree, followed by perfectly rare salmon with vegetables for me and porc spare rib for my husband he was delighted with it! The finale was Illes flottante and chocolate for him. It was the best meal we had in 10 days in Provence, including a few M rated ones I preferred it's elegant simplicity and generosity!
We stayed here for one night with our family This is truly a very amazing hotel dated from the 1500 in a great setting and with a fabulous restaurant The staff is friendly and kind and you feel directly a home We highly recommend this hotel restaurant
We have visited Les Deux Rocs several times for Sunday lunch as the setting is divine as one generally eats ‘en plein air’ in an idyllic square set around an ancient fountain complete with Saracen arch, and the food and service are reliably good. Fourozan is particularly pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is well-run, clean, comfortable, quirky and very french, so for that special occasion we booked a room and stayed overnight. We were given the Mimosa Suite on the second floor, which was ok for us but do be aware it us an old hotel with no lift and 15C stairs so it may cause problems if infirm. Parking can be a bit difficult. There is no allocated parking for the hotel, but there is plenty of free parking nearby. However, do bear in mind Seillans is always popular, particularly in high season. Do book your meal and arrive early to secure a parking slot. The food is french, lovely but the menu did not vary. The room was spotless and comfortable and the facilities are good. The shower is easy to use and there is a separate free-standing decadent bath in Mimosa Suite.
Nice location around a fountain but food quite touristic and not even near what we have experienced regarding the french cuisine of the region. It was not bad but we expacted much more, e.g., vegetables had been just cooked in water, no herbes, spices or butter (I could have made this myself at home)… Service seemed stressed and had no time to explain or chat or even give a warm smile however, only a few guests were present and served plates without without explanation (e.g., bread far too late without a word). Sorry, but no recommendation, especially regarding the alternatives nearby.
