I absolutely adore this restaurant. The staff are fantastic, especially Tom, the manager who truly adds to the dining experience. The food is delicious and offers great value for money. They have a strict Covid-19 policy in place, which makes me feel safe dining here. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and cannot wait for my next visit.

The restaurant, formerly known as The Carlton, has been renamed and now boasts a much-improved interior. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we had to sit outside, but the staff were attentive and there were plenty of heaters to keep us warm.

We went for drinks and after visiting the menu, we returned for a meal. the food was delicious, the baked goat cheese was simply beautiful and the sea roast simply beautiful. the service was excellent and it was a very pleasant evening. it wouldn't have been better.

I have visited Bar 88 a few times before the recent changes, and if anything, it is even better now! The meal was excellent, with high quality food and generous portions, all served in a lovely and quiet atmosphere. The service was also excellent. I enjoyed everything, and even though it was half-priced tonight, I would have been happy to pay full price. I will definitely be back tomorrow. Well done!

Had a fantastic lunch here today, asparagus and poached eggs with crispy bacon, cod cheeks with handmade chip stack, Peking chicken and rice, we all thought the food was really nice, you must try the halloumi and sweet potato stick's yum!!
