Crosby Coffee - Sefton

Great coffee. Used to have a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff seem humourless and aloof. It’s Possible to be a cool barista while smiling. Such a shame.

We went in on a Sunday at 14.57 for a coffee and some lunch. We looked at the coffee menu for a couple of minutes and when the clearly disinterested staff deigned to make eye contact and serve us I asked for a cheese toastie and was told that 'food ' stopped at 15.00. I checked my watch and it was 15.02. The staff there clearly do not care about anything about standing around in groups chatting to each other, checking their phones, and generally providing superior and snotty customer service. Drop the attitude guys, you only work in a coffee shop. We won 't be back.

Their cortado was proper strong and quite delicious. They obviously know what they’re doing and care about the product. The service was a bit casual. On balance I’ll go back, as the coffee was very good.

Having been an avid supporter of Crosby Coffee since they served from a unit in Seaforth, I feel the service received lately has let the owner down immensely! Luke warm coffee and service ‘without a smile’ comes to mind, not only to myself, but to others served behind me who also commented to each other by a miserable girl on the till, it felt like a chore for her to serve customers and it put a dampener on the experience! Waited in line at the end of the counter for my drinks which took an age to make and were plonked down without even a thank you or smile by the lady making them. I fathomed out the cup lids were help yourself by watching others before me, and left feeling underwhelmed and incredibly sad that so much hard work has gone into getting the brand ‘out there’ only for front facing staff here to seemingly not care! Be better CC, this isn’t the first Luke warm experience I’ve had, and I only come back out of support for the original ethos and to support local, but will be going elsewhere in future! Such a shame….

Delicious toasted sandwich. Pleasant surprise. Bit pricey though. Would go back if in the area again.
