Contribuiți la feedbackI was a regular at this restaurant when I lived in Kingsville. The stir-fried beef or prawns with a side of rice is a real treat, and the Laksa is also excellent. Highly recommend checking it out!
Named Wok Noodle, it's easy to assume that this restaurant specializes in wok-fried noodles.
My husband and I enjoy eating at local restaurants. We have ordered take-out from Wok Noodle in Seddon a few times and the food has been satisfactory. Not amazing, but alright. Recently, my husband was out and I decided to grab a laksa for myself to-go. While browsing the menu, the girl at the counter kept making suggestions, which was a bit annoying when I just wanted to take my time deciding. I settled on the seafood laksa for $14.50, but then I realized there was a minimum eftpos transaction of $15. I explained that I only had $12 in cash and asked if I could put the rest on my card, as it was only 50 cents below the minimum. The girl seemed unhappy and started listing all the fees they had to pay. I mentioned it was just 50 cents and asked if they were willing to lose a customer over that. The answer was yes, so I decided to leave the restaurant on principle. Small business owners should reconsider their payment policies and adapt to modern times. Many people no longer carry cash and may be discouraged from supporting local businesses that are not flexible with payment options. I believe they are missing out on potential business by not accommodating electronic transactions. I support local businesses, but feel they need to be more open to alternative payment methods.
I tend to only write about restaurants when they are really good or really bad. Luckily, Wok Noodle, fits the really good category.I have tried about 11 different dishes here, and although I have my favourites, they are always fantastic. The food is actually like the food you would taste in Malaysia, not the stuff that is passed off by other restaurants as asian food. They will happily tailor the food to your taste if you prefer the dish to skip and ingredient or be less spicy. The staff are attentive and friendly. How it used to be when you go out to a restaurant. This is the good old values we see here. There are two minor drawbacks, nothing that would stop me going there. One is it can be quite noisy, hence, we often sit outside in the warmer weather. The other is during the winter is is quite cool, do take a jacket to stay warm. Having said that, don't let these things put you off going. I have personally taken at least ten friends here and they all enjoyed it.
We placed a telephone order for about 15 people. When I went to collect it the service was great. I was a little earlier than I said I would be. I was offered a seat and also water whilst I waited. The food was amazing. When I took it back to work for myself and colleagues everyone said it was exceptional. I had the Nasi Goreng rice. Delicious. But the roti bread and roti wraps were stunning as were the satay chicken skewers. This is a great place to eat or have takeaway. Will be using this place more often as great food, great service and great value.
