Casa Diaz - Seclantas

In the afternoon we went in to buy some preserves. His owner told us his story. He showed us the orchard. He told us some of his recipes. We asked him for dinner, and he waited for us with the table prepared in a beautiful living room. The atmosphere of the whole house is a charm. The details are magnificent, unexpected in such a small town. The food, a delight!!! The chuchoca, the goat stew, the tickets, the desserts... everything formed an extraordinary experience. Thank you for keeping these ancestral customs and for attending to the tourist with such dedication.

It deserves the best score not only for the cordiality of Papa Diaz who receives you with a smile, but mainly for the vindication and value of a gastronomic proposal that goes back to his ancestors. Austerity is not poverty, on the contrary it shines the knowledge and presentation of unique flavors. A free and unforgettable experience!

A very nice experience. Alejandro receives you at home and cooks exquisite dishes. In the afternoon we asked if at night it was open and invited us to know the orchard and the whole process of the meals it makes. The excellent charqui empanadas, the humita and the charquisillo really INCREÍBLES. It's not cheap but really worth all the work they do to cook this kind of ancestral dishes that you won't try elsewhere.

Very rich everything and very good attention. You can talk to the owner and tell you about past cooking methods from generation to generation. You need to book by WhatsApp at least 1 day before going and calculating the arrival time for a long time because they are several km per ripe. The food is quite salty in all dishes, at least for our palate. Riquísimo la empanada de charqui!!! To pay: only cash!
