Says they “can’t/wont” make a pour over stronger via grinding the beans finer. It’s possible it’s not difficult and if it’s not made like that it’s watery. I used to barista and do this for customers regularly, it works and it’s a fantastic way to make a pour over have more strength.Seems like customer service isn’t on par, whatever staunch rules they have about not grinding beans finer is a bit out of touch. Got a latte instead which is incredibly bitter and flat. Pretty dissapointing. Acoustics in the cafe are relatively bad the echoing of customers and machines is louder than any cafe I’ve been in locally.

Great coffee! Super yummy egg sandwich- the English muffins from red bird bakery are to die for! Love coming to retrograde to work while enjoying a cup of coffee.

By far my favorite coffee spot in Sebastopol! Incredibly friendly staff who have more than honed their craft. Every single person who walks through the door is treated with kindness and care, and they are constantly innovating while remaining true to the fundamentals of what makes delicious coffee… delicious!I love Retrograde and feel grateful to have a spot that cares SO deeply about coffee and community in this town.

A great little breakfast spot and coffee house. Super friendly staff. Super coffees.

Good coffee if you like something on the stronger, darker side. Wonderful coffee shop atmosphere if not a bit busy.
