Contribuiți la feedbackIt's impossible to have a bad meal or experience at Flavor ! We had a large party of 8 and never once felt rushed or neglected. Food was amazing and it was a birthday celebration- they came out with dessert and singing. Such great staff, food and ambience!
My favorites are the Gnocchi Bolognese, Salmon special and the Molly's chicken. Although last time I got the chicken, it was way too salty.Wait times here are VERY long so make sure to plan to be there for a couple of hours. If you are okay with a leisurely long meal, then this is the place for you. There's one staff member who is pretty friendly, but the waiters we've had the last couple times were short and to the point. Didn't even offer up the evenings' specials.Usually I love to get their grape juice from Navarro Wines, but they did not have it last time we were there. They do have several great non-alcoholic drinks for those who don't drink.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu. My 11 yr old daughter's favorite is the salmon and mashed potatoes. It's a great portion size for her.
We visited on a Tuesday night but we were surprised at how few people there were. We were seated immediately outside. The service was excellent. The staff anticipate needs like turning on the outdoor fireplace and came at just the right time for our order and the check. My one complaint was the fact that my tiny water glass was almost always empty. The food was exceptional. The gnocchi was perfect in its pullow-like consistency. The pot pie was excellent although a bit runny (I recommend using the crust to soak up the liquid). One down side to this restaurant is the complete lack of parking. The place was empty and we still had to park quite a distance away.
This is an amazing, ing restaurant. The food is superb and in the world of service, this place rises above. We went on a busy Saturday night at prime time. They don't take reservations but gave us a glass of wine and bread while we waited. Who does that? Wow. The host was so personable and kept us updated on our wait. He even explained about the wine he served us. I didn't get that much explanation from wineries I have visited, and I'm a local! All in all, Flavor is well worth the drive from Santa Rosa!
Love, love, love this restaurant! We used to go when it was located in Santa Rosa and were overjoyed when it re-opened in its new location in Sebastopol. The chef/owner, a truly lovely man, greeted us at the door with Welcome back home! and it did feel like homecoming to us. We both had seafood pasta special and it was plentiful, delicious and beautiful. Chocolate torte for dessert was plate-licking good. The warm, unpretentious and friendly atmosphere made our evening perfect. We are definitely coming back!
