The Metropolitan Grill - Seattle

Dohe and Dylan were exceptional servers. Craig, the maître d', stopped by to chat with us and even took our pictures outside the restaurant before we left. The food was spectacular, and the rest of the experience was just as impressive!

My wife had the most amazing steak dinner of her life—a small but intensely flavorful 4-ounce Japanese A5 snow beef filet. I opted for the 14-ounce bourbon-aged striploin from the chef’s menu. Both were cooked to medium rare (naturally!) and were served alongside perfectly baked potatoes topped with all the classic fixings. We had been intrigued by the description of the flaming hot apple pie and knew this was the place to try it. We certainly weren’t disappointed; both the presentation and the dessert for two were fantastic. Whatever else you choose for your meal, I highly recommend finishing with the hot apple pie! The staff was courteous and attentive throughout our visit, from the reservation process to the coat check, during our meal, and even as we enjoyed our flaming dessert. It was relatively early on a Saturday evening prior to a performance at the Paramount, and the general manager even stopped by to ask how our meal was. My wife and I are looking forward to dining at The Metropolitan Grill again; our 26th wedding anniversary is in June. You can bet I've already marked my calendar in May to make a reservation as soon as they open up!

Dining at Metropolitan Grill was truly a unique experience. Every aspect was meticulously crafted, from the perfectly crafted cocktails at the bar to each dish we ordered, the thoughtful wine recommendations, and the desserts. Above all, the service was outstanding—top-notch, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The steaks were cooked to perfection, although they were prepared at a slightly different level than what you might find in most restaurants. Those in our group who opted for seafood were equally impressed with their choices. We did not indulge in desserts, but I must mention that the carrot cake was exceptional—truly the best in its class!

This entire experience was absolutely phenomenal! Not a detail out of place! Lathrop, our server, was exceptionally attentive and helpful with suggestions, playing off our humor perfectly too. I highly recommend this place. They have everything down to a perfect science. I will be dreaming about this experience for a good long time.

The food is amazing. My favorite place to go on a date with my husband.
