Sarajevo Restaurant & Lounge - Seattle

My husband and I went out for dinner and tried cevapi and shopska salad. I am from Serbia and my husband is from England. We both agreed that the cevapi we had were just as good as the ones back in Serbia. The taste was amazing and the meat was very fresh. The ajvar and kajmak that came with it were also delicious. The kajmak was not the same as in Serbia, but still good. The shopska salad was not the best, but still good (the tomatoes in the US and Serbia just can't compare). We also tried palacinci for dessert, which was good. The waitress was very nice. We will definitely come back for more cevapi and my husband wants to try their sarma next time - can't wait!

Decent eating for a place that really takes on its nightclub, not so much the restaurant it seems. they don't get the fried sprudel. hard boiled and seasoned.

There is a wide variety of choices available at this Balkan/Mediterranean restaurant chain. It is a fantastic place to dine!

The restaurant is spacious and the service was excellent. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered chicken, beef, and lamb kebabs but they were all average at best. The rice that came with the meal seemed stale and the meat was tough.

We arrived early and received excellent attention. I did worry that the establishment was not properly staffed for the evening. The restaurant filled, and there was only ONE person on the floor to: hostess, bartend, waitress, etc. Can not imagine what was happening in the kitchen, too. Aside from my feeling bad for the staff at Sarajevo that day we had an outstanding experience. The food was EXCELLENT !! We purposefully chose the traditional dishes offered, no calamari or American. And it was ALL delicious ! Generous servings, very reasonably priced ! We will be back ! It was SO, SO GOOD !
