Contribuiți la feedbackThe service at this restaurant was extremely friendly. The waitress helped us navigate the menu and choose sides that accommodated my gluten, egg, and dairy allergies. Ultimately, we decided on the pulled pork meat (sans bun) with vinaigrette slaw and succotash, as well as the beef brisket sandwich with mac n cheese and succotash. While we enjoyed the food, we found it to be a bit on the pricey side, costing us $56 for lunch with two bottles of water. Due to the cost, we may not return. The casual seating at the outside picnic tables was a nice touch.
The guy who took my order provided helpful recommendations as I asked his opinion on items I was ordering. I got a sizable tray of food at what I think was a good value. The brisket wasn't super moist but it wasn't dry either, right in between. Not a lot of smoke ring but the blackened crust was delicious. Ribs tasted good and were quite meaty, again not moist but not dry. The chicken thighs were quite dried out and I had to use the sauce or sip tea with it. Sweet smokey sauce is a lot better than the Carolina sauce. The beans had good texture, in a watery sauce which was spicy. The creamy slaw was a good mixture but I should have chosen the tangy version for more flavor. Overall it was a great lunch and I was happy with the experience. I didn't see a garbage can but there was a buss tub, so it wasn't clear if I was supposed to just set my whole used tray in there before I left.Vegetarian options: They might have had some kind of veggie succotash, but you're looking in the wrong place
The staff at this restaurant was very friendly. The ribs, sauces, and mac n cheese were delicious. However, the brisket was too dry and the beans lacked flavor. Overall, it's a good choice for BBQ in the Pacific Northwest.
I picked up some dinner the other day and I liked it. I wanted to get the beef brisket but they ran out so I got the chicken thigh and smoked pastrami (choice of 2 barbeques) plate. The portion was good enough for me and my wife and I took the jalapeno garlic mashed potato and Mac and cheese on the side. Overall a great place and would definitely come back.
I was excited to try out this BBQ restaurant near Ballard, but I was ultimately disappointed. I ordered the pulled pork and brisket, but both were very dry and lacked that traditional smoke flavor. The cornbread was not very good, and the sweet tea did not taste like authentic southern sweet tea (it was overly saturated). The staff was friendly and we enjoyed eating outside at the picnic tables, but I wish the BBQ had been better.
