Pizzeria Pulcinella - Seattle

The pizza is so delicious that it's definitely worth the 30-minute drive! It's authentic Neapolitan pizza!

We felt completely ignored by the staff. We visited the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday around 7:40 PM, and it wasn't very busy. We were seated at a corner table in the back and waited for a server to approach us. A few hostesses were chatting at the front counter, and a young male server, along with a heavier-set female server, passed by our table several times without acknowledging us—always looking the other way to avoid eye contact. The female server even asked a large group at the adjacent table, “How is everything?” before walking away, but we weren’t even offered a glass of water. This place used to be good, and we traveled through heavy traffic to get here, but it’s just not worth it anymore.

My husband is from Italy and I lived with him in Rome for 5 years, so when we saw they had the official designation that not even all pizzerias in Naples carry, we knew we had to visit. It was so good. We had the prosciutto e melone and the vongole al forno for antipasti. The vongole were the best we have ever had! It was incredible. Margherita pizzas were delish. Dessert was ok. We made a reservation via Google, and the table was ready right on time. Good service. Limited parking, but there was enough. Overall we were so glad we stopped in, and we’ll definitely be back for a slice of home for my husband. La vita magna’!?

We live in Aviano, Italy, and came to visit our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. The service was outstanding, and the pizzas were fantastic. My favorite was the Capricciosa, and the cannoli were delicious as well. The IPA beer was excellent. Everything was perfect—thank you very much, friends!

The lasagna tasted like my mother's with a wonderful spicy sauce.
